I can't get over how happy I am to create regularly for St Aloysius Catholic College in North Melbourne. This latest shoot was SO fun! The Marketing Director, Jodie, called me to in to document the life of the students. It was 100% editorial style, capturing the students without interruption. I love being a photojournalist as it takes me back to my wedding photography days. The images were exceptional and most importantly, the client was happy.
I love working with St Aloysius. They direct the creative brief while giving me the freedom to create. In February I photographed their Beginning of the Year Mass. Photographing events is always fulfilling; there is no posing or second chances. I thrive under the challenge to create art as the event unfolds. They always utilise my time wisely, so I photographed portraits of the Principal with student leaders after the Mass. I was back again a week later to capture some of the recent renovations featuring the students enjoying the facilities. A few weeks later I was thrilled to see the images already on their website. Happy clients = Happy me.
The Community Liaison of Christian Brothers' College, Jane Balme, recently contacted me for a marketing project. The local church, St Mary's, is also the parish for two other local schools, PCW and St Mary's Primary. The Fullaondo family has three children who each attend one of the schools. This prime St Kilda location caters to families committed to Catholic education. All three schools will utilise the images for marketing with the theme of Three Schools - One Community.
The family was wonderful to work with; they were great with the camera, relaxed and not to mention, beautiful! Thank you for a fun shoot, Jane.
